So far this mower is a beast! My old commercial Scag 60″ deck drive broke after 17 years, and I mow over 4 acres at one time in the foothills of East Tennessee, I have very diverse typography and uphill and downhill sideways, you name it, very challenging. I’m quite impressed with this Craftsman mower, and put it through some extremely difficult tasks, grass over 2ft tall and rough terrain. The easy deck lift/lowering is easy and great for me, being only 5’2, no more foot pedal lift. It has a very touchy jerky kind of drive, not a negative, just a lot different than my old Scag mower, the seat could have armrests for a more secure ride, thats my personal preference, because of my terrain, but for the most part the kohler engine does great, no, it’s not a commercial mower for sure, but it gets the job done!! This is a rugged and tough zero turn mower i would recommend. I’m happy with my purchase, and after I get my drive fixed on the old Scag, this will make a great back up mower for my property needs, but for now she’s a full timer until the end off the mowing season. Oh yeah the price was very reasonable and shipping was fast and on time. The delivery guys were fantastic and friendly!
I wanted to updrade from my T8000 42″ rider to a large deck zero turn. The Z5200 42″ meet all of my needs, including set budget. The online sale experience was great and the scheduled delivery was excellent. It arrived with a no start but after some tinkering, it has started without any issues everything since. I wish it had an hours meter and possibly a fuel guage but, i am living it so far.
This is my 1st zero turn, coming off of a riding mower, and it is outstanding. The ride is smooth, the cut even, and the speed of the mower itself cut my mow time in half on just under 1 acre of ground.
Love the craftsman zero turn. Starts right up every time. Has plenty of power and is small enough to fit in my small shed with 48 inch opening yet big enough to cut my yard in no time.
The delivery of the mower was ok, friendly people. Took mower out of truck, and left. Filled gas tank, checked oil, and it started right up on first try. One thing I like about this mower is its simplicity, easy access for checking oil, draining oil, easy access to air filter. Not sure how messy it will be to change oil filter, but easy to get at. It took a few minutes to get used to the ZTR turning, and have learned how to turn without digging up yard. So far I have enjoyed my new mower, and would buy it again.
