My X380 just rolled over 50 hours… I mow a little, mulch tons of leaves with the optional under‑deck kit, haul a trailer with firewood, and tow my 600 lb log splitter. Basic maintenance is simple. Plenty of power. I’ve never had a mower that leaves such a smooth and even finish on the lawn. The Deere does the job and looks like it will be long‑term (~15‑20 years).
This tractor hit the sweet spot for me in regard to value, features, and price. I’ve been very satisfied with the unit for mowing and pulling a trailer, dethatcher, and aerator. Even pulled people on a sled with it! The quality of this unit compared to even high‑end big‑box tractors is appreciable. Just the deck alone is substantially higher quality.
Perfect blend of quality and performance. I purchased the X380 in May… have put on 17 hours with no issues. The deck was easy to remove/install. The cut quality is excellent and engine has enough power to mow at high speeds without reducing cut quality. This machine fits perfectly with performance and quality.
I love the X380 mower and so glad I bought it. I’ve mowed my full acre three times already. It definitely has plenty of power and speed, better turning radius than previous E140. It cuts very neatly. It deserves 5 stars but I’m giving 4 because it’s hard to get out of and the floor-controlled deck height dial is difficult to reach for me.
Good cut, bad ride. I upgraded from a Troy‑Built pony. Thought bigger tires would smooth it out. To be honest, it’s uncomfortable—my wife won’t ride it. It jars your whole body. Dealer said it’s the lawn, but other older mowers rode much smoother. Not even close.
